As a long-time breeder of quality Quarter Horse, Paint Horse and Sport Horse offspring, at DeGraff Stables, we recognize the value of the broodmare in creating successful combinations to achieve breeding goals.  Our mares have been carefully acquired to complement our stallions.  We also have sold many broodmares, each with lifetime half-priced breedings to a combination of our stallions to further represent our belief in their on-going contribution in producing exceptional performers.  In this section, we invite you to view the mare's pictures that idenifies their conformation and to review their pedigrees. You will find corresponding offspring photos and information for each mare's foal(s).  We believe it is important to provide this information to breeders in hopes that it will help with future decisions for mating options.

Camass CONGRATULATIONS to new owner ~ Jane Hartleroad of West Virginia. Camass is one of our favorite mares. Her warm hearted, sweet temperament is transferred to each of her foals. She herself is extremely correct and of good conformation. She consistently produces big, strong, athletic foals with lots of bone and depth and who have performed well in the Hunter Breeding competitions, USEF Over Fence classes and on the flat now in lower level dressage competitions. Camass is a product of champion race performing bloodlines including Dixie Brass, Dixieland Band, Northern Dancer, Relaunch and In Reality. We love this cross with Indian Artifacts. She is the dam of 5 foals.

Dancing with Doc Congratulations to Rob Finch of Endicott NY on your purchase of Dancing With Doc, "Ginger", and your subsequent sale to Sheila Kelley of Jamesville, NY. As a weanling, she was shown and was the Champion SOQHA Weanling Fillies Division in Halter. By Indian Artifacts, she produced Indypendant whom was shown to Top 3 and Top 5 placings at the Reichert, NSBA World Show and Virginia Futurities in Open Hunter Longe Line. Her other foals have shown in USEF events. As part of the DeGraff Stables mare sale program Dancing with Doc retains lifetime half-priced breedings to Indian Artifacts and DGS IndyGo according to the terms of the agreement.

This mare is over 16-2 hands and is long strided and wonderfully slow legged. Due to her exceptional genetics, balance, cadence and conformation, we have selected to retain her for our broodmare band as we breed for our next generation of performers. She remains fully nominated to the AQHA IF, the NSBA, the NSBA BCF and she is additionally eligible for a host of state futurities including Tom Powers and the Southern Belle.

She is by the multiple World Champion sire, Don’t Skip Charlie by Starrific. He was an earner of 299 AQHA points in Open and Amateur competitions and AQHA World Championship Show Earnings of $6,130.57 and NSBA Earnings of $22,148.30. He has sired over 240 foals of which 105 plus are Performers. Their Points Earned in All Divisions exceeds 9151 and AQHA Earnings of over $141,932, AQHA World Championship Show Earnings - $51,991, NSBA Earnings - $203,917, siring such greats as Don’t Gamble and others. Kustomized Krome by Kelvis has an AQHA Open ROM and Top 5 Finishes in Region Six competition. Hebe A gorgeous mares with three excellent gaits. Great conformation and an exciting cross an any of our sires as selected. She foaled her first foal in 2009; a Bay/Gray Colt by 5X World Champion HBF Iron Man (AQHA/APHA) named "DGS Hebe Solid Iron". The colt out of Hebe will be an exciting performer.

Hieroglyphics Hieroglyphics is a fantastic representation of Indian Artifacts as a broodmare sire, her first foal by HBF Iron Man exemplifies the characteristics we are breeding for. "Stella" had an exciting show career, she was the 2007 Year End NSBA Open Hunter Longe Line Champion. Ch Open Hunter LL at the Tom Powers Futurity, the Southern Belle, the Reichert in Open Hunter LL, and the NSBA BCF, once again, 1st Under All 4 Judges with Robin in the Non-Pro division and Res. Ch. with Kathie in the Open! At the NSBA World Show congrats again to Robin; Res. Ch. in the Non-Pro Ltd Hunter LL! Champion Open Hunter LL at the VQHA, Top 5 at Congress and finished up the year Champion at the Just For Pleasure Open Hunter LL!

Highly Collectible Congratulations to long-time breeder Judy Pryor on her purchase of a truly special mare. This pretty mare is very special. By World Champion Indian Artifacts and out of Thats A Record, whom is the only mare breeding today that is by a Superhorse, Rugged Lark, and out of a Superhorse, One For The Record,... We are so pleased with this cross. This lovely mare will become a cornerstone of any breeding program.

Homestyle Cookie This lovely mare;Cookie, herself was unshown. She is the dam of 6 foals, of which 1 is a performer and AQHA point earner. She is well conformed, has three pretty gaits and a wonderful disposition that she passes along to her foals.

Indian In The Stars Sadly, she is deceased.Tootsie was a 16-3H Bay mare that we bred and raised. A young mare, her budding show career was cut short due to a bone chip that was found in her ankle. Surgery was performed in an effort to allow her show career to continue, however, it did not heal well enough to continue in training. As a yearling, Indian In The Stars was shown in both Longe Line and Hunter in Hand venues. She earned Top Ten Honors at the prestigious Merrill Lynch Hunter Classic in the Yearling Open Division. At the 2002 All-American Quarter Horse Congress she was Top 10 in the Congress/NSBA Hunter Longe Line class. Her long, cadenced stride at the trot; in addition to her flat-kneed lope compliment her excellent conformation and pretty appearance. We are proud that she was producing foals that should excel in many venues. Sadly we lost Tootsie to colic in the summer of 2006.

Krymsun Hot Invite What an exciting addition to our broodmare band! Welcome Krymsun Hot Invite! Thank you to the Filandrianos family for allowing the sale of this gorgeous mare and a special thank you to Becky Bailey and Nancy Sue Ryan for helping to facilitate our purchase. Krymsun Hot Invite, Meika, bred by Herb Best of New Glasgow, NS, is the full sister to one of the hottest performers and sires of our modern time; One Hot Krymsun! Krymsun Hot Invite has an outstanding show record in her own right: AQHA World Show Top 10 in Jr WP, Congress Reserve Champion WP, 2003 AQHA Open High Point Year End Champion ~ 7th Place, Superior Open WP and Superior Amateur WP she also qualified for the 2004 AQHA World Show in Sr WP. Meika has NSBA Earnings of $20,853, AQHA Incentive Fund Earnings of $4,915 and AQHA World Show Earnings of $2,207. In AQHA competitions she 106 Open Performance Points, 68.5 Amateur and 33 Novice Amateur Points.

Lads Miss Coosadare This beautiful mare has 6.5 AQHA Halter points including 3 Grand Championships. She is the dam of several foals; including AQHA and APHA foals. She has a long strided trot, a pretty lope and wonderful temperament that is passed along to her foals.

R Son Dee Dawn This mare is owned by Honey Bear Farm; the Fenders. "Big Dee" is an exceptionally strong, big bodied mare with excellent conformation and temperament. She is the dam of 3 foals of which one has been shown to date, and has 85 amateur lifetime points and 18 novice amateur points including 4 ROM's. We look forward to her other young progeny's success as they enter the showring.

Regal Encounter Regal is an outstanding mare with fabulous conformation and movement. Bred by the Greg Hale Ranch in Texas, she was purchased as a yearling with the sole intention of breeding. We expected that her foals would write her career successes; and, she is doing that foal by foal!

Shrike It Rich (JC) This is a big pretty mare with a lot of bone and hip. We are excited about her as a cross on HBF Iron Man. Her first foal by him is exceptional.

Skys Blue Blood Excitingly, this mare was purchased as a yearling to cross on Indian Artifacts because of her conformation, movement and pedigree. And, what a great cross it has proven to be! Her foals are all proving to be performers and producers! Blue's first foal Indyvincible won Hunter Breeding Titles for OPHA. Her second foal, IndieGoBlue is nearing Superior Junior HUS and Amateur HUS. All That Remains was Champion at the SOQHA 2/3 YO Open HUS and currently winning Youth HUS and All-Around events. Blue Stilletos was a Congress Finalist in 2011 and winning in Green HUS and Junior HUS ...What a great broodmare... watch for her coming foals!

SPS Wahre Liebe Congratulations to her New Owners in Canada. Wahre Liebe means True Love. Imported from Germany, she was awarded States Premium status in her country in the Oldenburg Verband registry during her mare performance inspection in 2000. Liebe's huge, extravagant gaits embody incredible power, balance and movement with jumper potential. Her near perfect conformation, modern style and incredibly willing attitude make her the cornerstone of our Warmblood breeding program with AWR Inspection Champion; Indian Artifacts. Liebe is a proven producer out of multiple stallions, including Divali, the #2 USDF Sporthorse of the Year for Oldenburg Verband Yearling Fillies for 2003! Scoring 85% and 81.8% IBC Oldenburg. Divali earned Champion Young Horse at the Cosequin/USDFBC Qualifier Filly Championship and Third Place in Grand Championship. Liebe produced three AWR Inspection Ch and Res Champions, all with Premium status by Indian Artifacts.
